BE: Bilateral Medial Elbow, Knee, and Ankle Pain: Pool Program

  • The pool will be a good place to initiate activity in a weight reduced environment
  • I want you to gradually progress pool activities to ensure no significant increase in symptoms
  • Try to get in the pool 1-2x/day
  • Begin with walking in the pool
    • 3-5 minutes followed my 3-5 minute rest, you can repeat this 3x 2x/day
    • Gradually progress walking intervals from 3-5 minutes to 5-7 minutes as long as there is no significant pain
    • Try to take as long of a stride as comfortable
    • The deeper the water, the less pressure on your body so stay in deeper water initially
