CM: Ehlers Danlos with Left Hip/Low Back Pain, Difficulty Standing/Walking: JRDT Patient Waiting PT Evaluation (1-30-19)

  • It was nice to meet you in the office. Below you will find some videos of the movements we discussed. I want you to try to do some of these things as often as you can throughout the day. I would rather you do them lightly and frequently during the day. I want to know if doing these movements consistently is helpful in reducing your symptoms. I would also like to know if you are able to improve the mobility in the front of your thigh. Let me know if you have any questions with the movements below
  • Movement #1: Seated Abdominal Isometric: Keep shoulders down!!!!!
    • I show it in the video in standing and sitting towards the end of the video
    • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWIDPvQRrNM
  • Movement #2: Seated Quad Stretch
    • Light movement in and out of sitting up tall and leaning back and bending forward to take the stretch away
    • 5-15x
  • Movement #3: Standing Quad Stretch Option
    • Only do this with your painful leg behind you
    • It can be on the edge of the car when you get out of the car or a kitchen chair and hold onto kitchen counter
