- The pool will be a good place to initiate activity in a weight reduced environment
- I want you to gradually progress pool activities to ensure no significant increase in symptoms
- Try to get in the pool 1-2x/day
- Begin with walking in the pool
- 3-5 minutes followed my 3-5 minute rest, you can repeat this 3x 2x/day
- Gradually progress walking intervals from 3-5 minutes to 5-7 minutes as long as there is no significant pain
- Try to take as long of a stride as comfortable
- The deeper the water, the less pressure on your body so stay in deeper water initially
