Ulnar Collateral Ligament: Post PRP Protocol: Phase 3 (Weeks 4-6)

  • Phase 3:
    • This phase will continue to build on the strength program from last phase
    • Follow all of the same rules discussed in the previous phase in regards to pain with the goal of getting fatigue but no significant increase in elbow symptoms
    • Daily Movements
      • Active Shoulder Extension
        • 15 reps
      • Sidelying Rotation Mobilization to Improve pec and Thoracic Mobility
        • 5-10 reps each side
      • Quadruped Shoulder Flexion
        • 15 reps
      • Behind the Back Self Stretch
        • 15 reps
      • Overhead Multiplane Stretch
        • 5-10 reps each motion
    • Strength Circuits:
      • Complete every other day in addition to the sequence above
      • Avoid any movement that causes pain
      • Complete 2 sets of the circuits below
      • Circuit #1
        • Band Extension Deadlift
          • 8-20 reps
        • Full Can Arm Raise
          • Very light weight beginning with a soup can
          • Goal 8-20 reps, if you get to 20 reps without fatigue or pain, add weight and go back to 8 reps
      • Circuit #2
        • Band Horizontal Abduction
          • 8-20 reps slow
        • Band Chest Fly
          • 8-20 reps
      • Circuit #3
        • Ball Rollout
          • 8-20 reps slowly
        • Bicep Loading porgression
          • Progress through carefully
          • Start with the first option and progress as described in the video as able
